The 4th Myanmar FoodBev and 2nd Myanmar Retail Sourcing Expo kicks off today at Tatmadaw Hall to showcase exhibitors from both local and international such as Thailand, Malaysia, China, and Taiwan, offering food and beverage supplies as well as fitting & decorations, retail solution& technology, and retail sourcing products.

Myanmar Retail Business sees a high growth with new retail spaces are being released as well as new modern shopping format, easing of restrictions, allowing local partners to find it easier to work with international firms.

Meanwhile, Food&Beverage import remains strong as the number of supermarket  and convenience stores is also on the rise, particularly in key residential communities and densely populated areas. In December 2016, Ministry of Commerce Myanmar reported that import value reached over $10 billion with packaged food sales experience a 12% CAGR reaching a market value of $1.6 billion in 2013 and overall packaged food sales anticipated with 15% CAGR during 2014-2018

Highlight of the exhibition includes new products launch, Super Flash Lunchbox Competition, Cooking and cocktail show, Myanmar Retailers Industry Seminar under the topic of “Towards Retail Stores Excellence”.

The event is suitable for trade professionals, retailers, wholesalers, supermarket, convenient stores, hotels and restaurants, distributors, business entrepreneurs to update trends and industry networking.

The event is to be held from 17-19 August. Admission is free for exhibition.
