Juicing up your Sunday with British style Sunday Roast at 50th Street Cafe Restaurant and Bar  from 12p.m. – 3 p.m. every Sunday.

MYANMORE team was welcomed with watermelon margarita, which includes tequila, lime sugar, lemongrass, tabasco, and salt and ginger zin, a non-alcoholic drink composed of pineapple, orange, juice, and ginger. The welcome drinks surely kick off our taste buds.

Priced at 35,000 ks++, the brunch includes 5 appetizers to share, 2 live roast stations with side dishes and a dessert station, a free-flow of beer, red wine, white wine, soft drinks, and selections of cocktails such as Bloody Mary, Mojito, Whisky Sour, Americano,Watermelon Margarita and Pimm’s Cup

We chose Pimm’s cup as our main cocktail. Though it tastes similar to coke, it was refreshing and easy to drink.

Starting the meal with the appetizers, there are Laphet Artichoke Dip which is a creamy gorgonzola fondue with crispy roti, Falafel Wrap, roasted redpepper hummus, fresh veggies, falafel, chimichurri & halal cart white sauce, Home made Meatball in spicy arrabiata tomato sauce, parmesan and grilled bread, Crispy squid with garlic caper aioli, and Chicken liver and pork pâté with toasted baguette, charred peanuts and pickled watermelon- coriander relish.

Our favorite is the meatball. It was soft and well blended with the sauce. The sauce itself was not too spicy and came with a distinctive taste.

For the roasted station, two choices of roasted beef with harissa marinade and Porchetta with mustard, herbs: thyme, rosemary, oregano are offered, along with roasted potatoes, mac & cheese, and roasted potatoes. The meats will likely be changed week by week.

Along with the good food, there’s also live acoustic music and a choice of board games available including Scrabble, Monopoly, Uno, Chess, Playing cards, Ludo, and Connect 4.

Not so long after we enjoy our monopoly and connect 4 game, desserts were ready for us to try. 3 choices of the desserts were presented; Brownies with orange caramel sauce, Fruit Tart (pineapple, papaya, berries) and Churros with chocolate ganache.

Overall, if you are a meat lover, Sunday Roast at 50th Street is definitely your choice for a laid back Sunday late morning to afternoon with family and friends.
