Beer lovers and Sports fanatics, hotel guests and foodie all mingle together in this extravagant rooftop landmark.
Showcasing an absolute variety of large flat-screen TVs all around, with a sporty décor and the wide open space to boot, 369, which is believed to be a lucky number for the owner, is the one to visit if you’re in Thingangyun area.
Located on the top floor of the modern Ibis Styles Yangon Stadium Hotel, the restaurant also has a couple of very choice delicacies, everything from wine to cigars to schnitzels. The chief chef also worked for the very first hotel of Yangon Strand, as well as a jaunt over to Dubai for 8 years before coming back to test his refined skills back home.
The cuisine is mainly of European and Asian stock, with the myriad kinds of German Schnitzels being particularly in favor among customers. Another favorite is Udon Soup, a Japanese style soup served with egg and prawn, with adding pork, beef or chicken being up to the whim of the customer.
The menu has quite a number of dishes from many different nations, and 369 Restaurant and Bar does its best to maintain the quality of the food across the diverse expanse of dishes. They are very sizeable as well; a single dish can usually be shared equally among three people.
The main dish of 369 Restaurant and Bar is the Pork Knuckle, a very German serving with the quite obviously grilled pork knuckles and with the even more German sauerkraut and potato dumplings.
Another on the list is the Curry Sausage, a very Indian tasting confection with grilled pork sausage mixed in with spicy tomato curry onion sauce, with French fries and mixed salad being available.
The establishment has a wide array of cigars found almost nowhere else in Yangon; Whiba and Bollivar being just two of these. If you’re feeling up for some novel drinks, why not try their mocktails, like Summer of Yangon, a delightful chug that is molded especially for Yangon’s hot and humid climate.
Shisha is available in different flavors, as well as live bands and the odd DJ passing through, just ripe for the customer to enjoy with a glass Pilsener Beer or a mug of Carlsberg.
Tiny bit of the downfall is that the parking space is somewhat tight, although there’s more free space after 9pm for those having a night out.
