Want to have a nice, relaxing and above all clean swim here in Yangon? The swimming pools that you’ve seen not quite up to par? Well look no further, here’s a list of some of the top swimming pools to enjoy before the full rainy season arrives, but swimming in the rain is also not a bad idea after all.

No.1- Novotel Yangon Max

Situated at the very top of the complex, the outdoor swimming pool offers one of Yangon’s greatest views, with the added plus of a bar just to the side. There’s even a gym and tennis court just a floor below for those fitness enthusiasts, complete with a massage parlor; although these are reserved for those who are gym members.  The pool,however, is open and is $10 for a child under 12, with those above that magical number having to pay $15. The pool is open for use from 6AM till 8PM.

No.2-Sedona Hotel

Wide and expensive, under the shadow of the looming palace-like hotel of Sedona, its swimming pool is one of the best in Yangon, very popular with Myanmar locals for its traditional feel, with trees here and there bringing the slightest hint of nature.

No.3-Chatrium Hotel Royal Lake

This posh hotel situated at the foot of Kandawgyi Lake offers an outdoor pool shaded by idyllic palm trees, not to mention a fitness center and a spa.  But there is a slight catch to all this in that there is no stand-alone swimming pool package, rather only a gym plus swimming pool package for $25 per day.

No.4-Jasmine Palace Hotel

At a four-star Jasmine Palace Hotel, swimming pool maybe a bit smaller than others, but it is semi-indoor so you can enjoy the pool, even when it is raining.  The pool is surrounded by colorful beanbags and a stunning view of Yangon city. You can also relax with a few drinks from the conjoining ‘J’ Bar.  Fee is around $15 per day including access to the gym.

No.5- Hotel Parami Swimming Pool

Swimming pool here is semi-outdoor with beautiful panoramic view of Yangon city. After the pool, you can enjoy delicious food and a wide selection of cocktails at Piano Bar&Grill. The admission fee is around US $10.

No.6- Inya Lake Hotel Swimming Pool

A large outdoor swimming pool is surrounded by natural garden, offering relaxing and pleasant atmosphere. The fee is around US $20 per person, but children aged 5 and blow can have complimentary access if accompanied by parents. There are varieties of membership packages.

No.7- Kokkhine Swimming Pool

Kokkhine Swimming Pool is more of a Club than a pool- indeed it has three pools, one kiddie pool and two completive/adult pools. There are even a couple of diving boards for those,
