Mohinga is a national dish of Myanmar. It is made of rice noodle and fish soup.

Mohinga shops are everywhere along the streets of Yangon. It usually costs around 500 – 700 ks ( 50-70 cent).

However, at Ma Phyu Mohinga, it can cost from 1,000 ks up to 10,000 ks ( $1-$10). It has been branded as the most expensive Mohinga in town.

The shop is hidden along Inya road, opening as early as 6 a.m. It can be sold out as fast as 9 a.m.

Though low-key setting and decoration, you will see a lot of fancy cars, parking in front of the shop. To get there, a personal car seems to be the only option as taxis rarely pass by.

The shop has been around for over 20 years. Their secrets lie on the fish ball and many kinds of fritters.
