Starting on 1st December, visas will no longer be required for Myanmar citizens visiting Singapore, according to the Democratic Voice of Burma. A process which demanded several articles of paperwork and up to 4 days, can now be done with a routine trip to the custom counter at the airport.

Malaysia is now the only Association of South East Asian Nations (ASEAN) member that requires Myanmar citizens to apply for a visa before entering.

There are already plenty of flights from Yangon to Singapore with roughly six per day between the two countries. Now with less hassles, there could easily be more.
