Yangon’s speakeasy, the Blind Tiger, will be opening again tonight at their new location. While the need for a speakeasy is less pressing with exams being over, many Yangonites are excited for a place with an atmosphere that Blind Tiger provides. There is no secret knock to gain entrance but the venue’s cosmopolitan and swanky vibe coupled with seductive lighting does give the effect of an underground nightclub. Join if you are looking for high-quality snacks and drinks in a more mellow setting compared to a dance joint.
They serve original tapas and cocktails while surrounding their patrons with cutting-edge artwork. Examples of their cocktails are Ginger Mojito, a classic mojito with a gingery twist; made from rum, fresh ginger, ginger ale and mint. OR the Tiger Berry, a specialty martini made with vodka, chambord and cranberry juice. Cocktails are all around 9000 Ks.
