Bar Boon gets it’s name from the Dutch word for bean, boon, which naturally is most commonly associated to coffee beans.

It’s situated on the new Parkson terrace, Bar Boon is a cool Dutch espresso bar with a outdoor terrace overlooking the bustling street below, indoors they appears to be channeling a 70’s vibe with it’s warehouse esq ceiling and hanging lights. They offer croissants, muffins, cookies, fresh smoothies, Illy coffee among other things.

They say:

“BAR BOON Dutch deli and Espresso bar, is a concept born in The Netherlands. Mainly 

focused on business people who won’t to escape their offices for lunch, meetings and
interviews or just for some relaxing. BAR BOON provides everything to make sure the
experience for each customer is as comfortable as possible. Quick service because you
get it yourself at the BAR BOON counter. The Loft like interior provides a open and
inspirational atmosphere, fine music playing softly, and  of course fresh food. 

In Myanmar the BAR BOON concept is also focusing on hotel guests, Expats and the
local Burmese people who been around the world. Besides lunch, BAR BOON also offers
a Corona beer or a glass of wine that you can combine with the BAR BOON Platter. This
is a snack platter with olives, tapenade, baguette bread and a selection of charcuterie. Or
order the delicious bruschetta’s to go along with your glass of Prosecco and have your
sun downer on the lovely BAR BOON terrace were you can enjoy the busy local streetlife.
Please note that because of the rush to open together with the Parkson department
store, the BAR BOON Menu will start from next week on.”
